Honest mistakes do happen in HR too.
OK, so sometimes it’s totally them, not you. Usually, most of the pressure of being flawless and acting perfectly falls on the job candidate. But let’s not forget that HRs can make blinders too.
Sometimes they forget to mention that they rescheduled you for an hour later (or earlier). Other times they may forget to send you the thing they promised to email. Or, like in Sam’s case, just mistake you for somebody else.
In either of these cases, don’t act meek and stand up for yourself. Send polite reminders, follow-up and suggest that there was a shortcoming on their end, not yours. It’s a normal thing to do!
