Resume look matter as much as its content. Don’t get too creative with your designs unless you really know what you are doing.
…Or it’s easy to end up with a picture that doesn’t really match the words.
Don’t submit a resume that looks like a child made it in kindergarten. (We are all adults here, right?). Resume design isn’t rocket science.
All you need to do is follow a few quick ‘courtesy’ design rules:
- No more than two web fonts.
- Plenty of white space!
- Prominent header with contact details, name, title.
- No more than two color combos.
