Don’t give away more than you should.
Well…that was awkward. You really should always check that you did hang up that phone before going into a rant or having a personal meltdown moment.
But hey, we all know that it so easy to reveal a bit too much to an HR person, both on the phone or in person.
Such mishaps can happen any time.
So how do you save the face when you’ve left a kinda terrible voice message?
You have several options:
- Give them another call and try to reach the person this time.
- If they acknowledge the situation, apologize briefly.
- If not, keep it cool and continue as if nothing happened.
It’s never the end of the world.
